10:00 AM UTC: South Africa vs West Indies, Group 1, Super 12s, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup
South Africa and West Indies are going to clash against each other in their second games of the Super 12s group. Both teams come off a loss, however, South Africa lost a close one to Australia while West Indies got blown away by England.
Will the batting order please stand up?
In the last games, both teams failed miserably in terms of batting, especially West Indies. For South Africa, only Aiden Markram could make an impact, delivering 40 runs while lower-batter Rabada could only do something else batting-wise, claiming just 19 runs off 23 balls. The West Indies batters couldn’t do anything at all versus England, skittling for a mere 55 with Gayle making a measly high score of 13. Will class batters like Bavuma, de Kock, van Dussen, Miller show their guns? Or will power-hitters like Lewis, Hetmyer, Gayle, Simmons, Russell, and Pollard come on top?
South African bowling look more threatening
South Africa has a brutal combination of pace with Rabada and Nortje up-front while their spinners Maharaj and Shamsi are equally impressive. In terms of bowling, Saffas look a bit better than Windies. West Indies has a medium-pace heavy attack with Rampaul, Russell, Pollard, and Bravo while McCoy shows some speed. The team also has a spinner in Akael Hossein, and although they have depth, they can lack the bite presented by South Africans.
