Australian spinner Nathan Lyon is expecting the arrival of Ben Stokes for the Ashes. Nathan stated that Ben is the best all-rounder in the world and he is hoping for him to come. Lyon also said he wants to play against the best players and Stokes is one of them. Ben Stokes is on a sabbatical after he cited mental health issues caused by rigorous work he put during England’s busy summer this year.
Much of the fatigue has been the result of the bio-bubbles, induced by the coronavirus pandemic situation, which has often kept players away from family and friends. As a result, Ben has suffered high levels of mental fatigue and took an “indefinite break”. The batter also suffered a finger injury and had to undergo surgery but he recently posted videos of him practicing in the nets and that backs what Lyon is saying in terms of his comeback. Will he return for the December Ashes?
