In the regular season NHL match between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Montreal Canadiens (5:3) Finnish forward of the Hurricanes Sebastian Aho set a unique achievement in the NHL in the XXI century.

The 26-year-old forward made four assists in this meeting. A day earlier, Carolina defeated the Nashville Predators 5-2. In this game Aho also earned 4 (1+3) points. Thus, he became the first hockey player in the XXI century, who managed to score four points in two calendar days in the NHL. Previously, this feat was accomplished by Jeremy Roenick with the Phoenix Coyotes on November 25 and 26, 1999.

Aho also became the fourth Hurricanes hockey player to score eight points in two days. Previously, Mike Rogers (in 1980), Ron Francis (1989) and Eric Staal (2009) managed to do that.

In total, the Finn has earned 39 (14+25) points in 33 games this season.
