Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal is preparing to sign a new contract with the Catalan club. According to Barca Universal, the agreement will be extended for six years once the player turns 18.
The terms of the contract have already been agreed upon, and the release clause will be set at €1 billion.
This season, the 17-year-old Yamal has played 16 matches for Barcelona across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing eight assists. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2026, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at €150 million. By the end of the 2023/24 season, he also won the Copa Trophy.
Earlier, Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski admitted that he was impressed after his first encounter with Yamal.
