According to The Guardian, West Ham striker Michail Antonio has undergone surgery following a serious leg injury sustained in a car accident near London.
The 34-year-old forward, who plays for the Jamaican national team, was hospitalized after the incident on Saturday, December 7. In 15 matches this season for the Hammers, Michail has scored one goal.
Reports indicate that following surgery, the player is expected to be sidelined for about a year. Antonio is currently under careful medical supervision in a London hospital and is awake.
