The official website of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) announced the compensation for 19,618 Liverpool fans for the 2022 Champions League final.

Recall that the final meeting of the most prestigious club tournament in Europe was held May 28, 2022 in Paris at the Stade de France. Initially, the match was to be held at the Gazprom-Arena stadium in St. Petersburg, but due to the Russian invastion in Ukraine on February 24, the final was postponed.

The start of the game was delayed by 36 minutes due to the clashes between the LIverpool fans and French police, tear gas was used. About 40 people were detained.

According to an independent investigation conducted by UEFA, the organization itself is to be blamed for poor organization of access to the stands. Compensation will be awarded to those who were unable to enter the stadium until 21:00 local time, or missed the match altogether. Real Madrid fans and neutral fans who had problems entering the arena also have the right to compensation.

The game itself ended with a score of 1-0 in favor of Real. The only goal of the match was scored by midfielder Vinicius Júnior in the 58th minute.
