The UEFA Congress has supported amendments to the organization's statutes, which will allow the current president Aleksander Čeferin to be re-elected for a fourth term. This is reported by Sky Sports journalist Rob Harris on social networks.
Only the representatives of the English Football Association opposed these amendments.
Recall, Ceferin has held his post since September 2016. Previously, the term of office of the head of UEFA was limited to 12 years.
Recently, the official met with the head of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) Andriy Shevchenko and discussed the questions of non-admission of Russian teams to international tournaments. However, he is not against a friendly match between Russia and Serbia.
