The English newspaper The Sun has reported that players of the national football team will receive a bonus of €11.3 million for winning the ongoing European Championship 2024.
According to available information, the bonuses for winning the tournament will exceed the reward expected for winning the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Moreover, in case the "Three Lions" triumph in Germany, the head coach of the national team, Gareth Southgate, will personally receive €4.7 million euros.
Euro 2024 is taking place in stadiums across Germany from June 14 to July 14. The opponents of the English team in Group C will be Serbia, Denmark, and Slovenia.
On June 16, the English team will play against the Serbian team in Gelsenkirchen. The upcoming match has raised concerns among local authorities regarding security measures, as reported by the BBC.
