
According to The Athletic, Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid wants his new contract with the club to match the salary of former Real player Cristiano Ronaldo.
Since joining the Spanish powerhouse in 2018, Vinicius has won two Champions League titles and three La Liga championships. The 24-year-old's current contract runs until 2027.
Reports indicate that the player rejected an offer of 15-20 million euros, as he is seeking around 30 million euros. Real Madrid management is interested in extending Vinicius's contract until 2030.
So far this season, in 47 matches across all competitions, Vinicius has scored 20 goals and provided 14 assists.
