A22 Sports, the company responsible for the European Super League, has reacted to UEFA asking the Court of Justice of the EU to change the press release on the Super League case.
UEFA does not listen to Justice. It does not understand that its monopoly has ended and that its privileges have no place in the Europe of freedoms. And now they continue to pressure the clubs and surprisingly the CJEU itself.
The European Super League statement
Recall, December 21, the European Court of Justice recognized the actions of FIFA and UEFA to ban the European Super League illegal.
The launch of the new tournament will take place approximately in 2025, and on December 21 the format of the Super League became known. 64 clubs are expected to participate, divided into three leagues (League Star and League Gold of 16 teams each, as well as League Blue of 32 teams).
Earlier, the head of the European Super League Bernd Reichart said that his project ends UEFA's monopoly in European football, and UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said that the organization will not impede the creation of an alternative tournament.
