England national team head coach Gareth Southgate shared his thoughts on the progress of his team's game throughout the European Championship in Germany.
UEFA's press service quoted Southgate as saying:
We were inhibited at the start of the tournament, but we've been a bit freer in the last few games. We've shown great resilience in coming through a difficult period, a period where at home a lot of people doubted us.
In the final match of the tournament, Southgate's team will meet Spain.
The final match of the European Football Championship 2024 will be held on 14 July in Berlin at the Olympic Stadium. The game will be served by the refereeing team from France, headed by Francois Letexier. The starting whistle will sound at 22:00 GMT+3.
Former Three Lions forward Wayne Rooney has suggested that midfielder Kobbie Mainoo could be the player to play a decisive role in the Euro 2024 final.
