Famous British publication The Telegraph reports that England's head coach Gareth Southgate plans to change the tactical formation of his team before the quarter-final match of Euro 2024 against Switzerland.
According to sources, the English team will switch to a formation with three central defenders. In this way, Southgate aims to improve the team's performance.
It is also noted that Kyle Walker might be the third central defender. The change in formation is partly due to the suspension of Marc Guéhi. It is expected that Southgate will give up the previous "4-2-3-1" formation, replacing it with a "3-5-2."
The Switzerland vs. England match will take place on July 6th and will begin at 19:00 GMT+3.
Manchester United's head coach Erik ten Hag criticized Southgate for England's performance at Euro 2024.
Earlier, Southgate took responsibility for his team's lackluster performance.
