FIFA's press service has announced the nominees for the Best Player award for 2024, featuring a total of 11 footballers.
Among the nominees are: Jude Bellingham, Dani Carvajal, Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde, Vinius Junior, and Kylian Mbappé, all from Real Madrid. Other nominees are Erling Haaland and Rodri (both from Manchester City), Lionel Messi (Inter Miami), Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen), and Lamine Yamal (Barcelona).
The nominees were chosen based on their performances from August 21, 2023, to August 10, 2024.
The current holder of the award is Lionel Messi, the Argentine forward playing for Inter Miami, who is now 37 years old.
