Miranchuk made his debut for Sion on September 22 in a scoreless match against Lugano during the seventh round of the Swiss league. The 28-year-old Russian midfielder started the match but was substituted in the 61st minute. His official transfer took place on September 9. As of now, Sion sit fifth in the Swiss Super League with 11 points from 7 matches, trailing the leaders, Zurich, by three points.
