Portugal coach Fernando Santos spoke out about the leadership qualities of national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo.
I have seen and coached stronger players in terms of communication. There are players like that in every team. I coached real leaders in teams like Benfica, Sporting, Porto. I knew Ronaldo from his young days, he was different then. I had players like Pedro Barbosa, Paulo Bento and many others in the locker room. But over time, his leadership qualities started to show, he began to take the floor more often. The team responds well to that.

In the opening match of the World Cup in Qatar, Ronaldo and company beat Ghana 3-2. The Portuguese will play against Uruguay in the second round of the World Cup. The match will take place on November 28 and will start at 22:00 GMT+3.
