Ronaldo is participating in his fifth World Cup. Before the striker played at the world championships in 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018. Ronaldo ranks with Lionel Messi (Argentina), Antonio Carbajal, Rafael Marquez (both Mexico) and Lothar Matthaus (Germany) in the number of World Cups in his career.
Apart from Portugal and Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea are in group H, they finished their head-to-head match 0-0.
