Portuguese national team forward and Al-Nassr player Cristiano Ronaldo has shared his thoughts on potential contenders for the prestigious Ballon d'Or award, given annually to the best football player in the world.
Ronaldo stated in a video on his personal YouTube channel:
I think it won't be a big problem because of his talent. Mbappe can be the next Ballon d'Or winner. Him, [Erling] Haaland, [Jude] Bellingham or Lamine [Yamal].
Ronaldo has won the Ballon d'Or five times. On September 8, during a UEFA Nations League match against Scotland (2-1), the 39-year-old became the first footballer in history to score 901 goals.
The ceremony for the most prestigious award in world football will take place on October 28 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
