Famous statistical website WhoScored has presented the worst players at converting goal-scoring opportunities at the recently concluded UEFA Euro 2024.
The worst performer was Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo, with a rating of -3.5 xG. The top 5 also included Kai Havertz (-3.1), Romelu Lukaku (-2.3), Kylian Mbappe (-2.0), and Memphis Depay (-2.0).
Ronaldo played five matches in the tournament, registering one assist. Portugal ended their run in Euro 2024 after losing to the French national team in the quarter-finals (0-0, 3-5 on penalties).
Despite this, the 39-year-old forward remains the all-time leading scorer in European championship history.
Moreover, Ronaldo was caught offside more times than any other player in Euro 2024.
