Portuguese forward of Al-Nassr Cristiano Ronaldo may receive a two-match suspension for an incident that occurred in the Saudi Arabian Super Cup game with Al Hilal (1:2).

The striker was sent off in the 86th minute for an altercation with Al-Hilal defender Renan Lodi, during which his opponent fell to the turf and showed the referee that he had been elbowed in the face. As a result, Ronaldo received a red card for unsportsmanlike behavior and then swung his fist at the head referee as he left the pitch.

According to the rules of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, the player faces a suspension for at least two matches and a monetary fine of about $50,000 for aggressive behavior, Al Riyadiy writes.

Al-Nassr head coach Luis Castro said Ronaldo did not hit Lodi and received a red card after the opponent faked his condition. At a press conference, the team's coach suggested that the Portuguese forward was provoked.
