Portugal and Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, said his scandalous interview won't affect the mood of the national team players.
Earlier in the interview, Ronaldo criticized Manchester United's management and also admitted to disrespecting their head coach Erik ten Hag. Ronaldo was also caught on camera upon arrival at the national team when he said a cold hello to his MU teammate Bruno Fernandes. Cristiano explained the dialogue with the midfielder that he was just fooling around.
The players have known me well for many years and know what kind of person I am. This is an ambitious team that is focused and hungry for victories. So I'm sure it won't shake my concentration and focus.
Cristiano Ronaldo, The Guardian
