Portuguese striker and Al-Nassr player Cristiano Ronaldo shared his thoughts on Saudi Arabia becoming the host country for the 2034 World Cup.
The 39-year-old Portuguese star emphasized that the infrastructure, stadiums, and fan conditions in Saudi Arabia are impressive, and he believes that the 2034 World Cup will be the best in history.
Ronaldo highlighted the rapid growth of the local league, which is improving the level of players and teams each year. He also expressed admiration for the country and its people, adding that he is pleased to be part of its success.
On December 11, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) officially confirmed that the 2034 World Cup will take place in Saudi Arabia.
It’s important to note that the tournament will be held at 15 stadiums across five cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Abha, Al Khobar, and Neom, which is yet to be constructed in the northwest region of the country.
Earlier, it was announced that the 2030 World Cup will be hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
