Manchester United forward and Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo commented on the squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which was announced by Portuguese coach Fernando Santos on November 10.

Ronaldo played a total of 17 matches at the World Cup, scoring eight goals and two assists. He didn't score a single point in six playoff games. The best result with Cristiano in the Portuguese squad was fourth place at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
