Relevo reports that La Liga club Real Madrid intends to extend the contract of winger Vinicius Junior, who plays for both the Madrid club and the Brazilian national team.

The available information suggests that there are several reasons for wanting to keep the 24-year-old forward: Real's management believes Vinicius can deliver results in big matches; there is competition within the team for French forward Kylian Mbappe; and a desire to act preemptively in case of an offer from a Saudi Pro League club.

Despite this, Vinicius is not rushing to renew his contract with Los Blancos. The Brazilian's current agreement with Real runs until the end of June 2027.

In the 2024/2025 season, the winger scored five goals and provided six assists in 11 La Liga matches. He also netted three goals in three Champions League fixtures. Vinicius's market value is estimated at 200 million euros by Transfermarkt.

On his social media page, Vinicius stated that he is not yet ready to concede the Ballon d'Or victory to France Football. According to the voting results, the Brazilian finished in second place, losing the award to Manchester City's midfielder and Spain national team member Rodri, who is the Euro 2024 champion.
