Real Madrid's Modric Rejects Ancelotti's Offer To Join Coaching Staff

38-year-old Croatian midfielder Luka Modric of Real Madrid has responded to head coach Carlo Ancelotti's offer to join the coaching staff of the Madrid club.

According to AS, the Croatian declined the role as an assistant to the Italian but thanked the coach for the offer. It is noted that Modric plans to continue playing at the top level for at least one more season.

Modric has been playing for Real Madrid since 2012. He is a five-time UEFA Champions League winner, a silver and bronze medalist in the World Cup, and a Ballon d'Or winner.

In the current season, Modric has played 28 matches for Real Madrid in all competitions, scoring one goal and making six assists. The footballer's current contract with the club runs until the end of the current season.

Earlier reports indicated that Modric had decided to leave Real Madrid at the end of the 2023/24 season.
