Real Madrid's management is looking to strengthen their squad by targeting English defender Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool, as reported by Marca.
According to the publication, the club plans to start negotiations with the player in January. Alexander-Arnold is seen as a potential replacement for Dani Carvajal, who is sidelined for the rest of the season due to a knee injury.
The 26-year-old defender's contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2025, and his market value is estimated at €70 million. So far this season, Alexander-Arnold has played seven matches in the Premier League, providing one assist.
Earlier, media outlets reported on other candidates to replace the injured Carvajal.
