According to the Spanish online media outlet Marca, Croatian midfielder Luka Modric has reached an agreement with Real Madrid to extend his contract for another season.
The midfielder has been playing for los Blancos since the summer of 2012. In the current season, the 38-year-old footballer has participated in 44 matches across various tournaments, scoring two goals and providing eight assists. Transfermarkt estimates the player’s market value at 8 million euros.
In the 2023/24 season, Real Madrid secured the La Liga title. On June 1, guided by Carlo Ancelotti, the team will compete in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.
It was previously revealed that Modric turned down two transfer offers and agreed to a reduction in salary to remain with his team.
