Luka Modrić, 37-year-old midfielder, captain of the Croatian national team, has renewed his contract with the Real Madrid club, according to Real Madrid's press service.
The Croatian's new employment contract with Los Blancos runs until the end of June 2024.
Modrić has played for Real Madrid since the summer of 2012, coming from England's Tottenham. In total Luka played 488 matches in La Liga and Copa del Rey and the European tournaments, where he scored a total of 37 goals. Modrić has won 23 trophies with Madrid, including three league titles (2017, 2020, 2022) and five UEFA Champions League victories (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022).
In La Liga 2022/2023, the Croatian midfielder played 33 games, where he scored four times and gave three assists. Modrić also had two goals and one assist in ten games in the last Champions League.
