Madrid's Real Madrid, Catalonia's Barcelona and Turin's Juventus want to initiate the creation of a new tournament to replace the Champions League, according to The Telegraph.
According to the source, the aforementioned clubs have contacted more than 50 teams to discuss the new competition. Sixty to eighty non-league clubs are expected to take part. Each team will play a minimum of 14 games per season. The format of the new Super League is being kept secret by Real Madrid, Barça and Juve, but it is known that the clubs will be divided into divisions.
It is noted that the new project is the result of negotiations with clubs across Europe on the financial problems they face.
Recall that the first attempt to launch a Super League in April 2021 ended in failure due to massive public discontent.
