Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Sergio Rico may soon be released from the hospital.
According to The Athletic portal, this could happen in two weeks. Recall that Rico was hospitalized on the night of May 28 after falling from a horse.
The Spaniard was taken to a medical facility by helicopter with a serious head injury. He remained in a coma for 19 days before being transferred from intensive care to a normal ward on July 4.
The media reported the football player's "miraculous" recovery without any neurological consequences. Rico lost more than 20 kilograms and about 30% of his muscle mass during his recovery.
He did not play a single match for the club in the 2022/23 season. PSG won the French championship ahead of schedule.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper is a three-time French champion, two-time winner of the French Cup, winner of the French Super Cup and winner of the League Cup. With Sevilla, Rico won the Europa League three times.
