Premier League clubs have voted in favor of introducing a spending cap, starting from the 2025/26 season. This information was reported by The Times.
One of the proposed cap options suggests that the spending amount cannot exceed the income from broadcasting for the last-place club in over 4.5 times.
If this cap was valid now, it would amount to €546 million, which would be the maximum sum each club could spend on salaries, transfers, and agent fees.
Currently, London-based Arsenal is leading the league with 80 points from 35 matches.
Earlier reports indicated that UEFA plans to introduce a salary cap in football.
