The English Premier League (EPL) has returned four out of ten deducted points to the Liverpool-based club Everton, The Athletic reports.
According to the publication, the Toffees won the appeal regarding a breach of Financial Fair Play rules.
In November of last year, the Independent Commission ruled that Everton exceeded the allowable limit of £105 million for the 2021/22 season by spending £124.5 million. On December 1st, the Liverpool team lodged an appeal with the English Premier League judicial panel.
As a result, in the current EPL standings, Everton has climbed from 17th to 15th place with 25 points.
