The 31-year-old French midfielder of Juventus, Paul Pogba, commented on the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) decision to reduce his suspension for doping.
Journalist Ben Jacobs quoted Pogba on social media:
Finally, the nightmare is over.
He admitted that this period was very tough in his life, as everything he worked so hard for was put on hold. Pogba expressed gratitude for the love and support from his fans and stated he looks forward to returning to the field.
Besides Juventus, Pogba has also played for Manchester United.
Previously, the Daily Mail reported that CAS reduced Pogba's suspension from four years to one and a half years.
