Italian coach Stefano Pioli is set to become the new head coach of Saudi club Al-Nassr, as reported by Okaz Sport citing Fatah Sport.
According to the source, the current head coach Luís Castro will soon leave the team.
In this season's Saudi Pro League, Al-Nassr has started with a win and a draw, placing fifth in the table after two rounds. Castro’s team suffered a heavy defeat in the Super Cup final against Al Hilal, which ended 1-4.
Previously, Pioli worked with AC Milan from October 2019, where he guided the club to win Serie A in the 2021/22 season and reach the semifinals of the Champions League the following season.
Media reports suggest that the crushing loss to Al Hilal was a key factor in the club's decision to change coaches.
Notably, Ronaldo recently became the first footballer in history to score against 48 national teams.
