Real Madrid and Spanish national team striker Athenea del Castillo did not sign the collective ultimatum demanding major changes in the leadership of RFEF.
This was reported by Marca. In late August, the players of the Spanish national team wrote a letter of support for midfielder Jenni Hermoso and drafted the first ultimatum demanding the resignation of Rubiales as head of the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The players refused to play for the national team until the structural changes were made. Del Castillo's name was among the other signatories of the collective letter.
After Rubiales' resignation, the athletes prepared a new ultimatum threatening to continue the boycott. They demanded fundamental reforms in the country's soccer power structures. Del Castillo's signature was missing from the new letter. Apart from del Castillo, Claudia Zornoza, who ended her international career with the national team, did not sign the appeal.
Earlier, Mundo Deportivo reported that the National Court of Spain banned the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation Luis Rubiales to approach the footballer Jennifer Hermoso closer than 200 meters after the scandal with a kiss.
