CalcioNapoli24 has reported that Napoli's new winger, David Neres, was the victim of an armed robbery following the team’s third match of the 2024/2025 season against Parma.
The incident occurred on August 31 outside the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium after the match. According to the player's wife, two unknown individuals on a motorcycle approached the 27-year-old Brazilian’s vehicle, broke a window, and demanded his expensive watch while threatening him with a gun. After Neres complied with their demands, the assailants fled the scene.
Neres joined the Neapolitan club on August 21 from Lisbon's Benfica. In the current season, he has appeared in two Serie A matches, providing two assists. His contract with Napoli runs until the end of June 2028, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value stands at 25 million euros.
