Former Chelsea player Adrian Mutu has explained why 39-year-old Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo, 39, of Al-Nassr, is not going to end his career anytime soon.

Daily Mail quotes Mutu's words with reference to iAM SPORT:

That's his real motivation. The fact he wants to play an official match with his boy and that's why he doesn't give up. Well, at Al-Nassr, it's possible. If he was at another team, I don't know, Real Madrid, it would be more difficult. But to play a half (together), in a year, I don't think it's impossible.

At the moment, Cristiano Junior is 14 years old and plays for the youth team of Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo moved to the club from Saudi Arabia in the winter transfer window of the 2022/23 season. In total, the 39-year-old Portuguese played 64 matches for Al-Nassr, scoring 58 goals and making 15 assists.

The player's contract with the club runs until the end of June 2025. Transfermarkt website estimates Ronaldo's market value at €15 million.

In March 2024, the son of the famous Portuguese became the champion of the Saudi Arabian league in the U13 age category.

The Saudi club's CEO Guido Fienga said that the Portuguese striker will remain in the team for next season.
