La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Italian club AC Milan is looking to secure €175 million from Barcelona for the transfer of their Portuguese forward, Rafael Leão.
Sources indicate that the Catalan team cannot afford even half of that amount. It has been reported that signing Leão is virtually impossible for Barcelona under these financial conditions.
Leão is a product of Lisbon's Sporting CP and has been playing for AC Milan since 2019. He signed a five-year contract with the club, and Transfermarkt currently estimates his market value at €90 million.
Earlier reports indicated that Barcelona midfielder Ilkay Gündogan could move to Manchester City for free due to the financial difficulties faced by the Catalan club.
