PSG forward Lionel Messi thanked his teammates, coaches and staff for their warm welcome upon his return from the World Cup in Qatar, where he was crowned world champion with his Argentinian national team.

Argentina won the World Cup for the third time in history after beating France in the final. Messi scored a double in the title match and was also named best player of the tournament.

I want to thank the staff, my teammates and the club staff for the reception I received. I'm going to build up my fitness and be ready for the challenges that lie ahead for PSG for the rest of the season. Now I need to get back on track so I can be ready to play when the coaching staff decides on it.
