Captain of the Argentine national football team and forward for MLS club Inter Miami Lionel Messi has returned to training with la Albiceleste, as reported by the country's Football Association.
Prior to the training session, Messi underwent kinesiological treatment and then joined the rest of the team for training.
The 37-year-old forward had not trained since sustaining a right adductor muscle injury in the second round group stage match against Chile (1-0) on June 26. Due to the injury, the star forward missed the game against Peru (2-0), marking the first time in eight years that he did not start for the national team.
The quarterfinal match of the Copa America 2024, in which Lionel Scaloni's team will face Ecuador, will take place in Houston (USA) on the night of July 5.
