Lionel Messi, forward for Inter Miami and the Argentine national team, has named a pivotal moment in his career at Barcelona.
Messi said in an interview on the YouTube channel 3Cat:
If I had to pick one special moment it would be the day I made my debut. Because of the sacrifices I made, moving to another country, changing my life completely to achieve that dream. The day I made my debut for the first team was without a doubt the most important moment for me.
Recall that Messi played for Barcelona from 2003 to 2021, becoming a ten-time La Liga champion, a seven-time Copa del Rey winner, a four-time UEFA Champions League champion, and a three-time UEFA Super Cup winner.
Since 2023, Messi has been with American club Inter Miami. His contract with the Herons runs until the end of December 2025, and his market value, according to Transfermarkt, is estimated at 25 million euros.
Earlier, Messi expressed his respect for Barcelona, the club where he spent most of his career.
Additionally, it has been reported by Mundo Deportivo that the Catalan club continues to pay salaries to former players, including the 37-year-old Argentine.
