PSG and Argentina forward Lionel Messi, 35, scored Argentina's first goal at the 2022 World Cup in a match against Saudi Arabia (1-0, first half).
Messi opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the match through an accurate shot from the penalty spot. Thus, Messi scored for Argentina in his fourth World Cup and surpassed the achievement of Diego Maradonna, who managed to score at three World Cups. Messi has scored 92 goals for Argentina.
Apart from Argentina and Saudi Arabia, Poland and Mexico will also play in Group C. The last two teams will meet on November 22 at 16:00 GMT.
