France striker Kylian Mbappe will not be able to play in the remaining matches of his national team at the group stage of Euro 2024 due to a broken nose.
Le Figaro reports that the forward will be able to take the field only in the playoffs, if his national team will get out of the group. In this case, the player will perform only in a special mask.
At the end of the second half of the match of the first round of Euro-2024 Austria - France (0:1) Mbappe collided with the opponents' defender and resulted in a nosebleed. France coach Didier Deschamps replaced him after the incident.
Mbappe's team will also play the Netherlands and Poland in the group stage.
The sports physician said that if the footballer does return to the field, his performance will be worse.
