France striker and captain Killian Mbappe has spoken about the Portuguese national team and Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of a face-to-face match in the quarterfinals of Euro 2024.
Mbappe is quoted by RMC Sport as saying:
It's an honor, everyone knows the admiration I have for the player. We are always in contact. He will remain a legend of the game but we hope to win tomorrow. We have to appreciate who he is and what he has done - he is a unique player. His CV speaks for itself.
The quarterfinal match between Portugal and France will take place tomorrow, July 5 at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg. The referee's starting whistle will sound at 22:00 GMT+3.
