According to Get French Football News, citing journalist Romain Molina, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe no longer wants to represent the French national team as long as Didier Deschamps is in charge.
The report indicates that the player had an argument with the national team coach. Previously, Deschamps did not call up the forward for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches in November but said that Mbappe was eager to join. Journalist Molina claims that, in fact, it was the forward who declined to be part of the squad.
It has been noted that Mbappe will not play under Deschamps for the French national team unless their strained relationships change.
Mbappe has been part of the French team since March 2017 and has played 86 matches, scoring 48 goals and making 35 assists. He is a 2018 World Champion and won the UEFA Nations League in 2021 with Les Bleus.
In related news, Spanish journalist José Luis Sánchez previously revealed the real reason behind Kylian Mbappe's exclusion from the national team for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches.
