PSG and France forward Kylian Mbappe said he hadn't asked the club management to let him go to another team during the winter transfer window.
Earlier, foreign media reported that the player wants to leave the Paris team in the winter because the club failed to fulfill a number of promises that were made before extending the contract.
"I'm very happy and didn't ask to leave in January. I had nothing to do with this news. I was as shocked as everyone else.
"I'm a soccer player, the most important thing for me is to play and give my best on the field. Now all of us in the team are focused on winning and earning titles," RMC Sport quots Mbappe as saying.
Mbappe has played for PSG since 2017. He has played 14 games in all competitions this season. The 23-year-old striker has 12 goals and one assist on his record. The current contract of the player with the Parisians is valid until the summer of 2025.
