PSG forward Kylian Mbappe has made an emotional statement about the team's midfielder Marco Verratti's move to Qatari club Al Arabi on social media.
The 30-year-old Italian agreed to Al Arabi's offer and signed a contract with the club until the summer of 2026 with a salary of €30 million per year.
Mbappe wrote on his Instagram story:
An exceptional player and person. It has been an immense pleasure to be by your side all these years. Your time here will never be forgotten or overlooked. One of the best players I have ever seen. Thank you my friend, I am going to miss you a lot.
Veratti had been playing for PSG since 2012. Last season, the midfielder scored one goal in 38 games for the Parisians. Transfermarkt website estimates the market value of the player at €40 million.
