Argentinian coach Mauricio Pochettino has officially been named the head coach of the US Men's National Soccer Team, as announced by the local football federation on their website.
The 52-year-old will prepare the US team for the upcoming home World Cup in 2026. Pochettino previously managed Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain and left Chelsea last spring.
I see a group of players full of talent and potential, and together, we’re going to build something special that the whole nation can be proud of.

Currently, the national team is being managed on an interim basis by Mikey Varas. On Saturday, September 7, the US lost to Canada with a score of 1-2, and today they will face New Zealand.
