The only goal of the match was scored by Inter defender Federico Dimarco in the 15th minute. In the final, the Nerazzurri will play against the winner of Fiorentina vs Cremonese. The first match ended 2-0 in favor of the Florentine club.
«You’re s***, you’re going to finish sixth anyway,» Allegri said at the end of the meeting to Inter CEO for sport Giuseppe Marotta and their deputy director Dario Bacchina. After going into the Turin locker room, the manager criticized their play in the semifinals, but later tasked the players with finishing above the Nerazzurri in the Serie A season and keeping them out of the Champions League zone.
