Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund announced that 34-year-old midfielder Marco Reus, who has also represented the national team, will leave the club at the end of the 2023/2024 season.
Marco Reus and Borussia Dortmund have mutually agreed that his current contract will not be extended, leading to both parties parting ways this summer.

Speculations about Reus's potential departure from Borussia Dortmund first surfaced on February 2nd, as reported by the German publication Bild.
Reus is a graduate of the black and yellow team’s academy. He has been playing for the first team since January 2012. Prior to that, the midfielder had stints with Rot-Weiss Ahlen and Borussia Mönchengladbach. With the Bumblebees, Reus won the German Cup twice (2016/2017, 2020/2021) and the DFL-Supercup thrice (2013, 2014, 2019).
In the 2023/2024 season, Reus featured in 23 Bundesliga matches, scoring four goals and making five assists, as well as in 11 UEFA Champions League games (two goals, one assist). Transfermarkt estimates the player's market value at €7 million.
