Spanish publication Marca reports that FC Barcelona is contemplating a contract extension for 34-year-old Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny, whose current deal expires in the summer of 2025.
Despite Szczęsny not having played a single match for Barcelona since joining the club in October, the team is pleased with his professionalism and how he has embraced his role as a backup goalkeeper.
The player's positive attitude and his contribution to the team's atmosphere have also been noted. If the club's policy remains the same, Szczęsny's contract could be extended for another season.
Barcelona currently sit at the top of the La Liga table with 33 points.
Previously, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the club's management is considering signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
